JACKLYN SANTERRE PROMOTED TO DIRECTOR OF HOMEOWNERSHIP
Previous Director Pat Crady retires following 26-year tenure
BURLINGTON VT – May 31, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) Executive Director Sarah Carpenter announced Jacklyn Santerre of Colchester has been promoted from Assistant Director of Homeownership Programs to Director of Homeownership.
Santerre is responsible for the management of VHFA’s homeownership programs including production, outreach, and servicing, as well as new program development and implementation. She works with other members of VHFA’s Senior Management team and the Agency’s Executive Management to assist in the development of the Agency’s strategic and business plan.
“Jacklyn was our first choice to lead VHFA’s Homeownership Department moving forward,” says Carpenter. “As the second-in-command of the department, she’s been an integral part of the decision making process for the Agency’s home loan programs, as well as a primary force for implementing those programs.” Santerre joined the Agency in 1984. She became Assistant Director of Homeownership Programs five years later.
She will be taking over the reins as Director of Homeownership Programs for Pat Crady of Williston, who has served as Director of Homeownership Programs for 12 years and will retire at the end of June, after devoting 26 years to the Agency.
“Pat’s experience and savvy has helped us through some of the most challenging times of the ever-changing mortgage industry,” Carpenter says. “I join the Agency’s Board of Commissioners in thanking her for her hard work and dedication to VHFA. She’ll be missed.”
VHFA is a self-sustaining, non-profit agency created in 1974 by the Vermont Legislature to finance and promote affordable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income Vermonters. Since its inception, the Agency has helped approximately 27,000 Vermont households with affordable mortgages and financed the development of approximately 8,400 affordable rental units.
